OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment System)
An occupational health and safety management system based on OHSAS 18001 will involve the organisation as a whole. The basic principles are a Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) and a process of continuous improvement of safety, health and welfare aspects. The structure of an occupational health and safety management system is the same as the structure of a quality system. It is based on basic procedures, work instructions and registrations. ISO 14001
The international ISO 14001 standard defines how you can better control the processes that burden the environment through a management system. If the system is certified by Liftinstituut, it will add the necessary weight when discussing issues with authorities, social organisations and the people living near your organisation. This may be very handy when, for example, applying for permits and minimising inspections by authorities.
